Spicy Cilantro Lime Cucumber Cocktail: A cool and citrusy cocktail to serve for your upcoming patio parties.
It’s been so warm during the days here in Southern California. I can almost smell Spring and I am ready for all those outdoor gatherings with good food and refreshing drinks.
I headed to my nearest Target and picked up Lobos 1707 Joven Tequila to make a cool and citrusy cocktail to serve for my upcoming patio parties. Lobos 1707 Joven Tequila is unaged tequila with a touch of reposado, which is aged in sherry casks, giving it a more nuanced flavor than a typical tequila blanco.
I wanted my spring 2022 drink to be loaded with lime, something fresh like cucumber, spicy like jalapeños and a touch of cilantro. Perfect for taquizas and sips under the sun. With that inspiration, I created a spring spicy cilantro lime cucumber cocktail.

Spicy Cilantro Lime Cucumber Cocktail
A cool and citrusy cocktail to serve for your upcoming patio parties. Made with Lobos unaged tequila with a touch of reposado, which is aged in sherry casks, giving it a more nuanced flavor than a typical tequila blanco.
Ingredients
2 ounces lime juice
2 ounces simple syrup
⅓ cup cucumber, roughly chopped plus 2 slices for garnish
8 sprigs fresh cilantro, roughly chopped plus more for garnish
2 slices jalapeño, roughly chopped
4 ounces Lobos 1707 Joven Tequila
Ice
Instructions
Combine lime juice, simple syrup, cucumber, cilantro, and jalapeño in a cocktail shaker. Press ingredients with a muddler or the handle of a wooden spoon. Add tequila and ice. Shake vigorously for 45 seconds.
Add ice to 2 serving glasses. Divide cocktail mixture between glasses. Garnish with a slice of cucumber and a cilantro sprig.
