Prepare a refreshing cold beverage with turmeric tea: Golden Tea

Turmeric tea is my latest obsession.  Not only does it taste great but it is also known as an anti-inflammatory aid that helps relieve joint and arthritis pain. It also soothes your tummy.  I like to enjoy it steaming hot with a splash of almond milk.

Turmeric tea can also be enjoyed cold during these hot days in September.  I like to sweeten it with maple syrup or simple syrup.  Golden tea is a turmeric variation with ground cinnamon and ginger stirred in the mix.  It’s very refreshing.

I was excited to find out that Tadin now has a Tumeric Blend tea variety.  Perfect for preparing golden tea.  If you like tea lattes, you can always add low fat or plant-based milk to your drink and turn it into golden milk.  It’s very soothing right before bedtime.  There are many Golden Tea recipes out there.  This one is one I love.  Hope you love it too.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 Tadin Turmeric Blend tea bags
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 12 tablespoons maple syrup
  • Ice
  • lemons slices


Instructions

  1. Steep Tadin Turmeric Blend tea bags in boiling water for 5 minutes. Stir in cinnamon, ginger and maple syrup. Let cool. Transfer to a pitcher. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.
