This Chili Lime Tacos with Creamy Salsa recipe post is a sponsored post by HERDEZ® Brand. All opinions are my own.  Thank you for supporting the brands that make this website possible.

Shrimp tacos have always been a weakness of mine.  It doesn’t matter if the shrimp is battered, baked, fried or grilled.  I like them because not only do they taste great but also because every time I am enjoying a memorable shrimp taco, I’m usually on vacation or just having a good time with family or friends.

In my opinion, what makes a great shrimp taco is the seasoning that goes into the shrimp and the taco toppings… definitely the toppings.  In light of the Lenten season, I wanted to share this shrimp taco recipe I am obsessed with from the Herdez  recipe website.  Because shrimp usually cooks quickly, this recipe can be prepared in under 15 minutes.  It’s a great time saver that can get you out of a last minute unexpected dinner bind.

The seasoning is a mixture of McCormick® chili powder, garlic powder, ground cumin.  I like to prepare large amounts of this seasoning and store it in a jar because it’s great for flavoring roasted vegetables, other protein and even mac n’ cheese.  Yup, you read that right.  Just mix it in with panko crumbs and top your mac n’ cheese with this mixture, pop it in the oven and you have a layer of deliciously seasoned panko crust.  Trust me on that one.

Every taco deserves a good salsa.  Try this mixture of HERDEZ® Salsa Casera (Mild, Medium or Hot) and McCormick® Mayonnaise with Lime Juice (Mayonesa).  It’s creamy, spicy and tangy.  The perfect flavor combination for any taco, don’t you think?

HERDEZ® Salsa Casera can be served  as a crowd-pleasing dip or as the secret ingredient in your favorite Mexican recipes. It is the most popular “homemade” salsa. Featuring just five fresh ingredients—tomatoes, onions, serrano peppers, salt and cilantro.

McCormick® Mayonnaise is the leading mayonnaise brand in Mexico; Mexican-style mayonnaise with a hint of lime for a tangy twist; The perfect condiment for sandwiches, burgers, garlicky pork, or fish; Mix with cabbage slaws or potato, tuna or chicken salads for bigger flavor.  I love to spread it on my queso fresco, pickled jalapeño and avocado torta.  It gives it that little hint of lime that brings all the ingredients together.  Heaven!
