- 1 cup Maseca
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder
- 1 egg
- 1 cup grapeseed oil
- 2 large onions, sliced
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine Maseca, flour, and chicken bouillon. Stir with a spoon until all dry ingredients have combined.
- Beat egg in a medium size bowl.
- Heat oil in a medium frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Separate onion slices into rings.
- Coat each onion ring in beaten egg then dredge in flour mixture. Carefully place rings, 3-4 at a time in hot oil, turning and coating with oil with a silicone spatula. Fry until golden brown and place in a paper towel-lined plate.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy.
