Ghirardelli Intense Dark Chocolate supports Breast Cancer Awareness
Breast Cancer Awareness is a cause I hold near and dear to my heart. I lost my aunt to breast cancer in 1998. Knowing that it runs in my family, my doctor has stressed the importance of self examination and mammograms early in my 30s. Early detection is life saving and more awareness and information needs to be dispersed to the public.

The National Breast Cancer Foundation’s mission is to save lives through early detection and to provide mammograms for those in need. It focuses on increasing awareness through education, providing diagnostic breast care services, and providing nurturing support services.
Last week, I was invited by Oakley to a Chocolate and Wine pairing event and to learn a bit more about what Ghirardelli® Chocolate is doing to help this cause. The event took place at District Wine in Long Beach, CA, a full service wine retail shop tasting room and lounge specializing in small production wines and imported beer.
