This Minty Watermelon Agua Fresca is the ultimate summer refresher. Light, fruity, and infused with the cooling touch of fresh mint. Inspired by the traditional aguas frescas of Mexico, this version blends sweet watermelon, bright lime juice, and just the right amount of sweetness. It’s easy to make in minutes and perfect for sipping on a hot day or serving at your next backyard gathering.

- 7 cups watermelon, divided
- 5 cups water, divided
- 1 large sprig mint plus more for garnish
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 lime, juiced
- ice for serving
- lime slices for garnish
Instructions
- Roughly chop 6 cups of watermelon. Chop the remaining cup of watermelon into small cubes. Set aside.
- Place the 6 cups of watermelon and 1 cup water in a blender. Blend until smooth. Add the mint sprig and blend again. Strain into a large bowl if desired.
- Add remaining 4 cups water to a large pitcher. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Add watermelon mixture, juice from lime and cubed watermelon. Stir to mix well.
- To serve, add ice to serving glasses. Scoop out a few watermelon cubes from pitcher and add to glass. Add minty watermelon agua fresca, garnish with mint and a slice of lime. Enjoy.
