Cool off with refreshing Fresas con Crema Ice Cream
We are in a heat wave this week and this could not have come at a better time. Made with Parmalat Nata Crema Para Desayunar, I’ve turned one of the most popular strawberry Mexican treats into ice cream.
It’s sweet, creamy and loaded with strawberry flavor and strawberry pieces. You don’t need an ice cream maker. Just a mold, freezer, a fork and patience. It’s worth the wait. If you haven’t tried Parmalat Nata Crema para Desayunar, you must! It’s flavor is neutral but on the sweet side. So neutral, you can customize it by adding your own flavors to it. Spice it up by adding spoonfuls of salsa, blended chipotle, blend it with cilantro and lime juice. You can also sweeten it up by adding chocolate powder, honey, sugar or fruit puree. If you’re a purist, spread it as is on a bagel, pan dulce or bolillo. You are going to love it.

Still confused about nata? Nata is the layer of cream that rises to the top when boiling milk. It is sweet, creamy, spreadable and so versatile, it can be added added to many dishes. It’s not only dolloped over bread, it can be included in baking or modified with different ingredients to convert into a dip. The possibilities are endless.
Now, nata is readily available thanks to Parmalat.
