The holidays are upon us and stress planning levels are slowly increasing to the point where it’s impossible to actually enjoy the time with family and friends. Thankfully, after so many years of cooking and hosting holiday get-togethers, I’ve perfected the art of saving time and creating smart shortcuts to make this hectic time more at ease.
One holiday dinner hack I am particularly proud of is serving soup as an appetizer. Amy’s has a wonderful soup selection made with organic ingredients for every taste. I especially like serving creamy comforting and seasonal flavors over the holidays. But if you have a guest that just loves chunky vegetable soup, Amy’s has a soup for every taste. No need to stress there.
Presentation is very important. Use wooden boards, warm colors and small appetizer soup spoons to make the occasion more festive and attractive. Appetizer spoons can be found online or at restaurant specialty stores. If your menu is small, serve Amy’s Soups made with organic ingredients as an introductory course in small bowls as a larger portion. All you have to do is heat and serve. Because Amy’s Soups are made with organic ingredients, you know you are getting a great tasting course. Amy’s has it handled for you.
To complete your delicious appetizer, garnish with small herbs, and serve it your favorite toasted artisanal bread or crackers. Your guests will appreciate every single detail of your appetizer presentation.
The wonderful thing about serving Amy’s as a soup appetizer is that it can be planned weeks ahead or day of event. Amy’s can be found at your nearest retailer and you’ll be sure to find something everyone will love.
By taking shortcuts such as this one, you’ll have more time to mingle with your guests and focus more on making them feel welcomed. The holidays are meant to spend with family and friends, not locked up in the kitchen overwhelmed with stress. I am letting Amy’s help me out this year and take care of my appetizer course and soup course. I will even pick up a few other flavor varieties to enjoy during those cold winter days when all you want to do is cuddle under a warm blanket and watch holiday movies with your loved ones.
