Homemade Mango Green Tea Infused Granola is the perfect way to start off the day.

If you haven’t made your own granola yet, you’ve been missing out it.  It beats store-bought granola any day and it is customized to your liking. Because some store-bought granola tends to be overly sweet, I like to prepare my own and control its sugar content.  You can also flavor it with your favorite spices, fruit and nuts.  The sweetness can come from agave syrup, honey, maple syrup and dried fruit.

I decided to make a big batch of granola this week and sweeten it with maple syrup. Its flavor came from an infusion of steeped Tadin Mango Green Tea.  If Mango Green Tea is not available, use Tadin’s Green Tea variety.  You can pretty much use any of their tea flavors.  I’m excited and curious at the same time about trying out this recipe infused with their pineapple flavored tea and their cinnamon tea variety.  Doesn’t it sound divine?

The dried fruit, nuts and seeds were ingredients purchased in bulk at my local health food supermarket. This means that the ingredients are not only fresh but inexpensive too.

Mango Green Tea Infused Granola can be enjoyed right out of the storage container or bag. Serve it with a splash of milk and fresh fruits or with yogurt, kefir or or as an ice cream topping.

I enjoyed a bowl of Mango Green Tea Infused Granola with banana slices and pineapple guava pulp.

If you are looking for a snack or something light to enjoy throughout your day, make a big batch of Mango Green Tea Infused Granola.  Perfect for munching on it at work and travels well packed in a school lunchbox.  Infuse your own granola with your favorite Tadin Tea variety.  You will never want to buy store-bought granola ever again.
