My husband always says I’m hard to shop for on Mother’s Day.  I never really say “I want this or I want that”, so he has no idea what to give to me without any hints. But it’s really simple.  Give me good food, a good snack or a drink and I’m a happy camper.

When Whole Foods challenged me to create a Mother’s Day gift.  I decided to create one for myself just to show my husband how easy it is to please me and make me the happiest Mom on the face of the earth. Of course I shared and it became part of our celebration.

Chocolate Strawberries 5.jpgWhole Foods has my favorite party appetizer essentials.  Flavorful cheeses from goat to cow’s milk, mild or stinky to pair with their great selection of Belgian beer.  On my recent trip, I discovered Fran’s Chocolates Dark Chocolate Sauce to spread on fresh strawberries and their 365 Everyday Value Assorted Entertainment Crackers.   I also included Dalmatia Sour Cherry spread to include in my cheese party tray, of course.

With an endless array of savory meats, dried fruits and nuts, my party tray was complete and we were ready to celebrate.  Next time you’re planning a celebration, I recommend you stop by your local Whole Foods.  This one-stop-party-shop includes beautiful flower arrangements, elegant pastries, your favorite craft beer and wine and an endless assortment of cheeses and crackers.  Their deli section has some of the best party salads and did I mention one of the best olive bars I’ve ever seen?

We wish you a wonderful Mother’s Day surrounded by your favorite people and favorite snacks.
