Ingredients

- 15 tamarind pods, peeled
- 2 quarts of water
- 1 cup of sugar
- tajin or sugar/chili salt
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, place 1 quart of water and tamarind pods. Bring to a boil for 5 minutes and remove from heat.
- Let cool to room temperature. Remove seeds from the tamarind pulp and place pulp in blender with water used to boil the pods.
- Strain pulp over serving pitcher. Add sugar and stir until well mixed. Add the remaining water and stir. Garnish glass rims with tajin and serve over ice.
