- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons corn starch
- pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/3 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 12 crushed graham crackers
Instructions
- In a heavy-bottom saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, corn starch, cocoa powder and salt. Whisk to evenly combine ingredients.
- Carefully add cream and milk, whisking into ingredients as you pour in the liquid. Increase the heat to medium high and bring to a boil. Continue whisking. Mixture will be thick. Remove from heat.
- Whisk in chocolate chips and vanilla extract until mixture becomes smooth and glossy.
- Transfer pudding to a glass bowl and cover the top with a sheet of parchment paper to avoid a skin forming while it chills. Refrigerate for approximately 3 hours.
- To serve, remove pudding from refrigerator. Stir with spoon until the pudding softens. Add a layer of crushed graham crackers to the bottom of your serving bowls, scoop pudding into a bowl followed by a scoop of whipped cream. Mix with spoon to create the marble effect. Decorate with Halloween picks, candy or cookies.
