Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 12 crushed graham crackers


Instructions

  1. In a heavy-bottom saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, corn starch, cocoa powder and salt. Whisk to evenly combine ingredients.
  2. Carefully add cream and milk, whisking into ingredients as you pour in the liquid. Increase the heat to medium high and bring to a boil. Continue whisking. Mixture will be thick. Remove from heat.
  3. Whisk in chocolate chips and vanilla extract until mixture becomes smooth and glossy.
  4. Transfer pudding to a glass bowl and cover the top with a sheet of parchment paper to avoid a skin forming while it chills. Refrigerate for approximately 3 hours.
  5. To serve, remove pudding from refrigerator. Stir with spoon until the pudding softens. Add a layer of crushed graham crackers to the bottom of your serving bowls, scoop pudding into a bowl followed by a scoop of whipped cream. Mix with spoon to create the marble effect. Decorate with Halloween picks, candy or cookies.
