One of my first and fondest Disneyland food memories are those cute Mickey Mouse shaped waffles drizzled with maple syrup.  I first had the opportunity to enjoy them the first time I visited Disneyland when I was eight years old.  They were served alongside seasoned breakfast potatoes, scrambled eggs and an assortment of fruit.  To this day, I make it a point to seek that meal out whenever I’m at Disneyland and it’s early in the morning.

A couple of weeks ago, my family and I had the opportunity to visit Disney’s California Adventure Park and I was on a mission to create memories with my son.  We were so excited to see Cars Land and use the new Disney Story App to capture my son’s first time visit to Radiator Springs.

The new Disney Story App is my number one story telling tool.  It’s an application on my smart phone that creates a shareable story book in a matter of minutes.  I have thousands of photographs stored in my phone (yes, thousands!) and they just sit there.  Sometimes, I find the time to transfer them to my external hard drive but most of the time they live in my phone until it’s time to upgrade and get a new phone.

Now, I am able to share my Cars Land adventure  with my friends and family with a push of a button.  The app even gives you the option to include video clips.  The magic of Disney Interactive never ceases to amaze me.

If you are planning to visit Disney’s California Adventure Park this summer, you’re in for a very special treat!  Cars Land is the park’s latest craze!  Yes, you will see Lightning McQueen, Tom Mater and the rest of the Radiator Springs crew cruising around  town.  One of the highlights of our visit was the array of restaurants available.

One of my new favorites is Flo’s V8 Cafe. It’s a great “pit stop” to “refuel” with hearty dishes such as delicious turkey, mash potatoes and gravy.  Don’t forget to stop by and pick up your very own novelty lunch box to take back to school in the coming year. Enjoy your summer!
